Protecting Human Rights in the Supply Chain

London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC), the Business, Human Rights and the Environment Research Group at the University of Greenwich (BHRE), and the Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC) have published a free E-learning suite developed especially for public procurement practitioners, entitled “Protecting Human Rights in the Supply Chain.”

Through this E-learning, users will learn about:

  • why protecting human rights in the supply chain is important to the public sector;
  • how to assess and prioritize risks;
  • monitoring supply chains;
  • responding to abuses;
  • and measuring and reporting effectiveness.

The E-learning also includes a module on compiling an annual Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement under the UK Modern Slavery Act.

The E-learning can be accessed here.
