Panel at World Bank’s LJD Week entitled “Procurement as a tool for development: challenges and opportunities”

Annamaria La Chimia (Public Procurement Research Group, University of Nottingham) and Claire Methven O’Brien (DIHR) will present at the World Bank’s Law, Justice and Development Week. Their panel will explore the legal and regulatory challenges of using procurement to promote globally agreed sustainable development objectives. As such it will examine issues such the role procurement can play in preventing human trafficking and promoting human rights and integrity. The panel will also examine the opportunities offered by procurement as a policy tool to ultimately make aid more effective.
